Per-Tool Pricing Breakdown

Setmore

Setmore publishes two tiers with transparent per-user pricing. The Free plan costs $0 per user/month (billed monthly). The Pro plan costs $5 per user/month, billed annually. Of the tools in this guide, Setmore offers one of the lowest published entry points for a paid tier. No recurring complaints stood out in the reviews we scanned for Setmore.

SimplyBook.me

SimplyBook.me does publish pricing on its pricing page, but our capture wasn’t able to bind the current figures to specific plans this round — head to simplybook.me/en/pricing to see the current numbers directly. Some users have reported friction with scheduling and dispatch.

Book Like A Boss

Book Like A Boss publishes a single captured price point: $8.50/month, billed annually. That figure reflects the calculator default view on their pricing page. Some users have reported friction with scheduling and dispatch.

Appointlet

Appointlet offers one paid tier — Appointlet Premium — at two price points depending on billing cycle: $12 per member/month, billed monthly, or $9 per member/month, billed annually. The site also notes a free starting option. We don’t have usable third-party review data for Appointlet — too few reviews were sampled to surface a meaningful signal.

Appointy

Appointy publishes three named tiers, all billed annually:

  • Growth — $19.99/month, billed annually
  • Professional — $49.99/month, billed annually
  • Enterprise — $79.99/month, billed annually

We don’t have third-party review data for Appointy.

Calendly

Calendly publishes two per-seat prices, both billed annually:

  • Standard — $10 per seat/month, billed annually
  • Teams — $16 per seat/month, billed annually

Some users have reported friction around price and perceived value, which is worth keeping in mind as you evaluate whether the seat-based model fits your team size.

Acuity Scheduling

Acuity’s pricing page signals that plans start at $16/month, but the named tiers are demo/quote-only — no per-plan prices are published directly on the page. To get a full breakdown, you’ll need to contact their sales team. Some users have reported friction across several areas, including scheduling and dispatch, the mobile app, customer support, price/value, and features and functionality.

Square Appointments

Square Appointments uses a per-location monthly pricing model with three tiers, all billed monthly:

  • Free — $0 per location/month
  • Plus — $49 per location/month
  • Premium — $149 per location/month

Note that Square’s model is location-based rather than per-user or per-seat, which changes the cost math depending on how many locations you operate. We don’t have usable third-party review data for Square Appointments.

TidyCal

TidyCal lists four plan names — Free, Individual Lifetime, Agency Lifetime, and Pro — but the named tiers are quote/demo-only — no per-plan prices are published. Check tidycal.com/pricing directly for current figures. Some users have reported friction with customer support, scheduling and dispatch, price/value, features and functionality, and ease of use.

Transparent Pricing vs. Sales-Quoted Pricing

Of the nine tools covered here, most publish at least some pricing openly:

  • Fully transparent published pricing: Setmore, Book Like A Boss, Appointlet, Appointy, Calendly, Square Appointments
  • Pricing not capturable this round (published but not parsed): SimplyBook.me — publishes a pricing page, but our automated capture couldn’t extract clean figures; visit their site directly
  • Quote/demo-only pricing (no per-plan prices published): TidyCal — visit their site directly for current figures
  • Sales-quoted / contact required: Acuity Scheduling — the page signals a starting point of $16/month, but individual plan pricing requires a sales conversation

When comparing across tools, also note that the billing unit varies significantly: some tools price per user or member (Setmore, Appointlet, Calendly), one prices per location (Square Appointments), and others appear to price at a flat account level (Book Like A Boss, Appointy). That structural difference can make direct dollar-to-dollar comparisons misleading without knowing your specific headcount or location count.
